We ask only for what we need to reply to you and to host you well, we never sell it, and this website sets no cookies.
Kua Koeeli is a guest house at Simyal Gaon, near Nathuakhan, Nainital district, Uttarakhand 263158, India. It is owned and run by Kua Koeeli, a partnership firm (“we”), and hosted by Sylona and Parag. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- When you send an enquiry: your first name, email address, number of guests, travel dates and anything you choose to write in your message.
- When you book or stay: the names of your party, a phone number, your address, and payment confirmations. Indian law requires us to see and record an identity document for adult guests at check-in, and to file Form C with the authorities for guests from outside India.
- When you visit the website: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies and does not store anything in your browser. Everything on it, including the typefaces, is served from our own website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.
- To manage your booking, prepare for your stay, arrange pickups you ask for, and take payment.
- To meet our legal duties, such as the guest register, Form C, tax invoices and accounts.
We will not send you marketing or newsletters unless you ask us to, and you can stop them at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with the services we use to run Kua Koeeli, and only as far as they need:
- Formspree, which delivers the enquiry form to our inbox.
- Google, for our email (Gmail).
- Netlify, which hosts this website.
- Our bank and payment apps, when you pay us.
- Government or police authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these services store data outside India, including in the United States. We never sell or rent your personal data.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not become a booking, we delete it within 12 months. Booking, payment and guest-register records are kept for as long as tax and other Indian laws require, and then deleted.
Keeping it safe
Your details are kept in password-protected accounts that only the two of us use, and any paper records at the house are kept securely.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw any consent you have given and name someone to act for you. Some records we must keep by law, and we will tell you if that applies.

Children
Bookings must be made by an adult. We collect details about children only as part of a family's booking.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
